CoriM: Healthcare Not So Fair

As for the new health care bill, I’m not a big supporter. I keep reading newspaper articles about the implemented changes and keep finding that not even a professional writer can make it sound good. I had the chance to speak with some doctors about how they felt about the new healthcare reform. Needless to say, not too many were excited about the changes that are to come about. Besides who like to deal with insurance companies?So what I found was that family practitioner’s salaries will be hit hard with the new insurance mandate, not to mention they will be required to provide insurance to all employees. I mean, the doctors are getting hit hard a decreased salary yet they are being asked to spend more money, sort of ironic no?
Obama is also trying to get all doctors to use electronic records for all patients. If this law gets passed, it would cut out a huge part of professional writing but would also save patients time since there would be less forms to fill out. These electronic records would also be used to fill prescriptions, eliminating the need to fill out lengthy forms. The only problem is that technology isn’t reliable (the power goes out, files can be hacked, computer viruses) where as written records are always accessible.
