Kelly G. Dr. Vs. Nurse
The purpose of this toondoo is to portray the difference between the amount of professional writing required for a doctor and a nurse. For the most part nurses are expected to generate reports, keep records and write perscriptions that the doctor signs off on. The doctor is there to make the diagnosis. The biggest difference between a doctor and a nurse the the pay difference. Since doctors go to school longer, they make more. Nurses still make adequate pay but not nearly as much as the doctor, and they do more work.

Nice toondoo! And yeah, what you say is absolutely true... but hey, at least nurses don't have to worry about the malpractice insurance! :P
ReplyDeleteKelly,
ReplyDeleteThis Toondoo is awesome! I as feel as though nurses do all the "work", paperwork that is. Nurses do not get as much credit as they deserve.
Great Toondoo. It's amazing how many professions are effected by the "I do most of the work but don't receive the same pay" principle. I think it's unfair that some people are not paid as much just because they chose a profession that they loved instead of one because of what it pays.
ReplyDeleteCool and informative toondoo Kelly. I was unaware of the amount of additional writing a nurse must do over a doctor, must be why doctor's handwriting is typically so terrible, ha-ha. If anything I would suggest to give a little information on the writing a doctor does while making a diagnosis on a patient. Either way great toondoo i really enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteGotta say I totally agree. Everytime I go to the doctor I see the nurse and maybe, just maybe the doctor will pop in.
ReplyDeleteWatch your spelling of prescription, Kelly.
